Parch Brand Guidelines

Official brand assets, logos, color palettes, and usage rules for creators, community members, and media.

The Story Behind the Logo

The Parch Linux logo is inspired by the Boteh Jegheh (Paisley), an ancient Iranian artistic form representing the cypress tree. In Persian culture, the cypress symbolizes freedom, resilience, and humility.

Combined with elements echoing Arch Linux, the mark embodies a modern, friendly GNU/Linux distribution crafted for everyone.

Usage Rules & Best Practices

Guidelines to keep our brand consistent and recognizable across all platforms.

Do
  • Use official vector SVG files whenever possible.
  • Maintain clear space around the logo equivalent to at least the height of the mark.
  • Use high-contrast combinations such as white on dark or black on light.
  • When placing on screenshots or photos, frame the imagery cleanly instead of heavily watermarking.
Do Not
  • Do not stretch, rotate, distort, or alter the aspect ratio of the logo.
  • Do not place low-contrast or dark logos directly over busy or dark backgrounds.
  • Do not modify the logo gradient colors with arbitrary tints.
  • Do not alter the relative spacing or placement between the icon and the logotype.
